It is always a grand adventure when we go to Japan to visit friends and this trip was both special due to the marriage of our friend Takyuki and his lovely bride Maki. Wedding pictures to follow in a separate album, and my planned return to Okinawa.

Kyoto is a city filled with history and with much to do and see. We stayed at the Hotel Grandvia located at the hub of things in the main railway station. Every major city in Japan is centered around the main rail station and these hubs of activity include everything and anything you need or want during your stay.

 While in Kyoto we were hosted at on of the several Geisha houses by the Kakihara family. This truly was the highlight
