  • Why is Pixagogo not for free, while other similar services are?

  • Pixagogo is an independent service that concentrates on combining an excellent online experience with unlimited photo storage, safeguarding backups of your original photos for as long as you decide. While other services seem to be free, they mostly are store fronts for printing businesses and treat their online functions as a cost to be minimized, thereby limiting either the quality, the duration or the safety of their online experience and photo storage. As you will see in their pricing structures for printing, they will need to recover those costs in the prices they charge for your prints. As an independent online service teaming up with market-leading print partners, Pixagogo can offer truly market-leading prices for printing.

  • How do I add photos to my account?

  • There are three different ways to add photos to your Pixagogo account:
    1. You can use the web browser to upload photos;
    2. You can use the Pixagogo Uploader, which is a desktop application that requires no installation whatsoever
      (see Pixagogo Uploader);
    3. You can adopt a photo album owned by another Pixagogo user, if that user allows you to do so. This will copy all photos from the other user's album into your account.
      (see Pixagogo Advanced - How can I adopt photos from someone else ?).
    The first option is available under the 'Upload' section of the 'Photos' page. Simply go to the 'Add Photos' column and start selecting your photos one by one. Upon completion of the photo selection, click 'Upload Photos'.

  • How do I share my album(s) with others?

  • Login and click the 'Albums' tab, then 'share' next to the album that you want to share with someone. Fill in the e-mail addresses of the people that you want to send the album to (separate these addresses with a ;).

    Make sure that the album is still set to 'shared' (the default setting). Verify this by clicking on the album and choosing the 'Settings' section. The 'Sharing Settings' parameter must be set to 'shared' or 'candidate for the public gallery' (see Basics - How do I publish an album in the Public Gallery?).

    You can also add an album to YOUR public gallery. This gallery is typically available via http://www.pixagogo.com/buckrogers if 'buckrogers' is your user name. See 'What is a personal gallery?' for further information.

    In general, anyone who gets the album link (of an album set to "shared") can access that album. So, to share your photos, you may send the link via e-mail, publish it on a web page, write it on a piece of paper, spell it out on the phone...
