Album Layout

With Pixagogo's Album Layout tools, you can get creative with your online albums! There are many ways to customize your album and we'll detail them each below.

First, you will need to select the Album you with which you would like to work. If you haven't uploaded your photos already, please refer to our help article on Uploading Your Photos.

For this example, we'll be working with Album 2. Click on Layout below Album 2 and you will be taken to the next screen:

Adding Text To Your Photos

If you would like to add text to your photos, select which photo you would like to start with. We'll start with photo number 2 and click on the checkbox below it.

Now, click on Add Text from the toolbar above your photos.

You will then see the following screen:

Enter the text you would like to add in the blank box provided.

Now, select the font size, style and font by using the pull down menus located to the right of the text box. You will also be able to choose the alignment for your text. For our example, we will be using a font size of 14, a style of regular and the font face of Arial. Our horizontal alignment will be center and the vertical alignment will be bottom.

Further to the right, you will see the following options:

This will allow you to underline your text, choose the font color and the height and width on the grid of your photo. For our example, we will leave all of these variables as they are.

Now click the box marked Apply under your text box.

The example of your text will be shown at the bottom of your screen, like this:

If the text is how you would like it to appear on your photo, click on the button marked OK under your text box.

You will then be taken back to the Album Layout View.

If you would like to see how your album will look with the added text, click on View, which is next to the pull down menu containing your Album's Name.

This will open a new window which will show you how your album will appear.

Rotating and Moving Your Pictures

If you need to rotate or move a picture in your album, select the checkbox underneath the desired photo.

Then, go up to your toolbar:

And select which command you would like to perform.

You can also make your images smaller, larger and even remove them if necessary.

Once you have gotten your gallery laid out the way you would like it to appear, you can now change the background and frames of your images.

Changing the Background For Your Album

If you would like a different background to display behind your images, you can either have a solid color background, or use a background image provided by Pixagogo. To change these options, click on the Settings tab on the upper right hand corner of your screen:

This will load the Settings Screen. Scroll down until you see the following options:

To change the background color of your album, select the button marked Background Color. This will open up a small window where you can choose the color you would like.

If you would prefer to add an image for your background, click on the button marked Background. This will take you to a screen where you can choose the image you would like for your album's background. We have selected the large rose background for our example album.

Once you have selected either the new color or the new background image for your album, you will be taken back to your settings screen. Make sure that you click the button Apply Settings for your new selections to take affect.

Now, click on the Layout Tab at the top right of your screen:

This will take you back to your Album view. If you would like to preview how your Album will look now, select the View button again.

Adding Photo Frames

If you would like to add a decorative frame to your photographs, click on Settings again, to load the Settings Page.

Then, scroll down until you see the following screen:

Select the button marked Photo Frames. This will open a page where you can pick which frame you would like to appear around your images. We have selected the rainbox small frame for our album. Once you have selected your frame, you will be taken back to your Settings Page. Make sure that you click on Apply Settings for your new frame to take affect.

Selecting a Cover Image For Your Album

If you would like to have a cover image for your album, select the photograph you would like to be the cover image from your album view. Now, select the button Cover Photo from the upper right on your toolbar:

Your selected image will now be the cover image for your album. This image will be the first one that is displayed in your Gallery View.

Editing Your Photos

If you would like to edit a photo in your album, select the checkbox under the photograph you wish to change. Now click on the button in the upper right of your toolbar marked Edit Photo

That will open the following page:

You will see your original photo at the bottom and your editing options. You can choose to move the picture forward or backward in your album, rotate it to the left or the right and change the name and description of the image. You can also change the height and width of your picture as you would like it to appear in your album.

If you need to download the original image to your computer, before you start to edit it, you can do so by scrolling down to the following section:

By clicking on the button, Download Original, you can save a copy to your computer. This will be helpful if you need to return to the original photo if a mistake is made during editing.

The preview box will show you any changes that you have made to your photo. Once you are satisfied with the results, click on the button marked, OK.

You will now be taken back to the main view of your album.

There are many different combinations for your album layout. Experiment and have fun until you find just the right one for you.
